LUT (Lappeenranta University of Technology), as the name implies, is a technical university located in Lappeenranta, Finland.
I obtained my masters degree from LUT in 2006 (examiners of my MsC-thesis were proferssors Ville Kyrki and Arto Kaarna from LUT and professor Francisco Pelayo from the University of Granada). Apart from having studied at the LUT, I stayed there in 2010 for 6 months as a guest researcherer in the "Machine Vision and Pattern Recognition Laboratory" (run by prof. Ville Kyrki) and collaborated in the GRASP-project.
Main Research Interests
"Our research interests include object detection and recognition, multi-modal estimation and control for robotics, visual inspection, retinal image processing and analysis, and modeling of photoactive biomolecules."
